Algoriddim’s DJAY software has now integrated Beatport streaming services into their iOS and Mac apps.
As we reported recently, Algoriddim announced that the Spotify streaming service will no longer be available from the DJAY iOS and Mac applications. This came as a bit of a shock to DJs (myself included).
TIDAL and SoundCloud were already available on DJAY, and now additional streaming services have been added to the software.
Beatport Link and Beatsource Link bring the number of available services to four.
Both the new services are from makers, Beatport.
RekordBox introduced Beatsource Link only a few weeks ago, and now its addition to DJAY is not surprising.
Beatport Link is a service that allows DJs to stream the complete catalogue into compatible DJ software, such as DJAY. The service is available via a subscription, costing between $10 and $20 per month, with the higher cost providing offline storage and improved audio quality. This gives users access to the Beatport Top 100 and a number of other playlists, from their impressive library of over 9 million tracks!
Beatport Link features the Beatport electronic download catalogue, a more niche electronic dance music collection.
Beatsource Link gives a more mainstream library from major labels, from dance, pop, hip-hop, R&B, reggae, dancehall and Latin music.
This new announcement certainly gives DJAY a better standing in the DJ software world, with a healthy four streaming services now available on their software on the iOS and Mac apps.
